I love finding and reading/listening to great books. They help me gather the wisdom of others who have been there and done that. They’ve gone through trials and tribulations I won’t have to if I heed their tales.
That’s why I love bringing you a list of great books to read every month. I can help you avoid some of those same traps and tribulations.
This month is no different. Here’s your reading list for December 2024.
5 Leadership Books To Read In December 2024
1. Tribal Leadership: Leveraging Natural Groups to Build a Thriving Organization by Dave Logan, John King, Halee Fischer-Wright:
In Tribal Leadership, Dave Logan, John King, and Halee Fischer-Wright examine what it takes to build great organizations. They’ve noticed 5 levels to great organizations.
Fischer-Wright, Logan, and King have noticed that organizations and people will move up and down those levels depending on the season they’re in. Sometimes, they’ll rise up to level 5 only to fall to level 4. People will rise and fall from levels 3 and 4.
Their research is deep. It’s impactful. And it’s helpful to leaders at any level.
2. The Power of Consistency: Prosperity Mindset Training for Sales and Business Professionals by Weldon Long:
Are you able to focus on what you really want? Weldon Long looks at how you can get the desired results through focus.
He gives applicable and easy-to-follow steps to get things done. From Quiet-Time rituals, consistent action, and taking responsibility, Weldon moves you forward to a place where consistency is key to your success.
3. The Automatic Customer: Creating a Subscription Business in Any Industry by John Warrillow:
Author John Warrillow takes readers on a journey to obtaining automatic customers. He believes businesses of any kind can benefit and grow from following the automatic customer model.
Warrillow helps readers understand how to obtain repeat customers. It’s what businesses of any ilk desire: the customer who returns.
He encourages readers to find ways to create what I would call subscription customers. These customers sign up once, get new products regularly, and stay loyal.
What could happen if you were able to create automatic customers?
4. Beyond the Hammer: A Fresh Approach to Leadership, Culture, and Building High Performance Teams by Brian Gottlieb:
What are the pillars of leadership? Brian Gottlieb uses the powerful storytelling method of a fable to drive home the point of what you can do to build a solid leadership foundation.
Beyond The Hammer is broken into two sections. The first is the fable. The second is how to implement what you learned from the fable into your everyday leadership.
5. Reset: How to Change What’s Not Working by Dan Heath:
Dan Heath, the author of Made To Stick and The Power Of Moments, is back with another great book – Reset. Sometimes, we get stuck doing the same things over and over again, even when they don’t work.
It’s frustrating. It can make us feel like we’re dumb (you’re not!). You may even feel like giving up.
You just might need to give up… on the things that aren’t working.
